Is YNAB worth it?

It won’t surprise you to know that my answer to that question is a resounding “Yes!”. YNAB costs under $100 a year when paid annually. There’s a bit of effort required in getting past the learning curve (I can help you with that), and you have to spend some time on a regular basis with your budget. But that time is so well spent. (And after awhile it becomes fun!)

Let me show you a graph that illustrates how YNAB has helped me. This month marks five years since I started using YNAB for my business, Peace of Mind Organizing. Here’s a graph (generated by YNAB) of my Net Worth over those five years:

My business is pretty simple. The red bars represent credit card debt. The blue bars represent cash on hand. In five years, I went from being in debt to having plenty of money in the bank. And every dollar has a job. It’s all thanks to YNAB.

Is YNAB worth it? For me, the answer is absolutely yes.
